ATTENTION: Don't send PHI to NMSIIS Help Desk via Email


The DOH email system does not meet HIPAA requirements for transmitting PHI. Please don’t send Protected Health Information (PHI) to the NMSIIS help desk via email.


PHI includes: NMSIIS Client ID numbers, Client names, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, Medicaid numbers, and other items.

If you have a problem with a client record in NMSIIS and you need to identify the client to the help desk please do the following:

Call the help desk and report the problem using PHI. Disclosing PHI to helpdesk personnel is permitted. Using the phone is allowed under HIPAA rules and regulations. Help desk phone numbers are below.
